summer programme (haf)
This summer, The Music Klub is proud to deliver a vibrant and empowering Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme in Bromley, specifically designed for young people aged 11–16. Taking place over eight exciting days from 18th to 29th August 2025, our programme offers a unique creative experience rooted in the arts, expression, and wellbeing.
At the heart of The Music Klub’s HAF provision is a commitment to creative learning. Young people will explore disciplines such as:
-
Music Production
-
Creative Writing & Lyricism
-
Film and Visual Storytelling
-
DJ Skills & Live Performance
-
Healthy Cooking and Nutrition
-
Delivered in a carousel format, participants rotate in small groups of 4–5, engaging in each activity across the programme. This ensures that every young person gains hands-on experience in all disciplines, culminating in a final creative product—whether it be a recorded track, a short film, or a live performance.
Why the Arts?
We chose to focus on the arts because creativity is a powerful tool for self-expression, confidence building, and emotional wellbeing. The arts help young people:
-
Develop critical thinking and communication skills
-
Explore their identity and emotions in a safe space
-
Gain real-world, transferable skills like teamwork, discipline, and resilience
-
Discover new talents and potential career paths in the creative industries
In a world where academic pressures can often overshadow personal growth, our HAF programme champions holistic development through joy, play, and imagination.
A Safe, Inspiring Space
Held at Holy Trinity Church Halls in Bromley, our sessions run from 10:30am to 4:00pm, with nutritious meals provided each day. Our staff includes experienced artists, youth mentors, and support workers passionate about guiding young people through meaningful creative journeys.
